At the moment we are Synthwave Catfish Fishing shirt seeing conger eels and dolphins washed up on Sussex beaches which are part of the trawler by catch. Difficult to support illegal activity but the Government are moving far too slow on this issue. Protect our coastal waters and in particular ALL the MCZs. Greenpeace is usually just annoying, but people are definitely over-fishing and destroying marine ecology. And since the majority of our oxygen comes from the ocean protecting its biodiversity seems like a no brainer. So I can get behind these boulders. Not a comment pro or anti fishing. However, to all those saying drop the rocks. Please remember that these rocks are also damaging the sea floor and potentially killing the animals already there. Also if you do go so mad that this becomes rocky rather than sand, this would change which species live there. So either way it rather defeats the purpose of protecting it. The government needs to get a move on and protect the “marine protected areas” from trawling, I am not sure that Greenpeace potentially putting lives in danger by dropping boulders is justified, though. I wish they could have done that in Maine to protect the communication lines that linked the island I lived on to the mainland. Every Scallop season a trawler would break the lines again, leaving the islanders in the lurch! Not to mention the environmental damage… surely there is a better way to fish. BBC.

Calling this a “criminal offence” is rich coming from authorities that allow the fishing industry (not talking about individual fishermen here) crap all over international laws and continue to drain the oceans of fish. The only problem is going to be ripped up bottom drag nets that ruin the ocean habitat for nothing but money. Insanity. So the folks that are directly impacted financially by Greenpeace dropping boulders into the water object to Greenpeace dropping boulders into the water. Shocking. Do they feel the same PAIN when millions of innocent people are being killed in wars and conflicts, people dying of hunger, and people dying because of drinking polluted water! I wonder what is wrong with this world. Fcum. What these fishing “leaders” are doing, is systematically obliterterating a very delicate underwater infrastructure, including the decimation of Whales, Dolphins, Sharks, which in turn has dire consequences for our fast becoming, fragile planet. Greed, in the name of commerce, is destroying everything, we need to preserve this Planet of ours, it needs to be stopped!!!
