I’m sorry for his loss, but he had no right to try to force his views (and possibly his germs against which they have no resistance) on these people. Any contact with the Sentinelese is extremely dangerous for the tribe. He could have infected them with any number of transmittable diseases. I hope this deters anyone else from trying to convert these islanders. Good! The hubris of religious idiots is amazing at times. These tribes have survived for eons without Christianity. He couldn’t manage WITH it. Hopefully sends a message to others to leave them alone. Kudos to the tribe! The irony here is that if the news had read “Homosexual killed attempting to convince people to accept homosexuality” we would see a lot more sympathy. Its ok to not believe in Christianity now (when all is said and done you will…. its just a matter of time) but to laugh about someone getting killed saying he deserved it ? The way you guys are rejecting God i hope you are prepared for what will fill that void. US evangelicals have a history of spreading hatred intolerance and colonial attitudes. The tribe are better off without them. The tribes are very smart knowing he loves jesus very much they sent him to jesus. I wish all tribes had done this on first contact cause the missionaries brought nothing but misery, the world would’ve been a very different place right now, unfortunately they showed them kindness and had to pay the cost. Why are people always trying to convert people who are happy with their life as it is. Its always ‘charity’ with hidden agenda. His motivation, I suspect, was driven more by vanity than anything else. What a name he would have had and how he would have gained status amongst his fellow religious fanatics. These people deserve to be left in peace.
