What a It’s my Mardi Gras Birthday y’all shirt brilliant idea. I love the way that although Covid is the most horrible thing to happy it has brought people and neighbourhoods together. For all her shortcomings, New Orleans is home to some of the most resilient and creative people I have ever known. Mardi Gras has only been cancelled a handful of times in it’s 175 plus year history, primarily for armed conflict, civil unrest, and yes, public health. I am proud of my city and it’s people for keeping the culture and traditions alive, even in challenging times. Good to be safe , as care is better than cure . Instead of making crowd , better to disperse crow by making every house as float . In this way every one can enjoy and safe . Good idea for avoiding gatherings. They should also run virtual tour and set a small price tag, with the funds designated for struggling artists and freelancers. Since no tourist can go over, bring the parade to them. Love this Idea, except last Mardi gras parade saw a large amount of musicians make their last music. So many bands lost players that they couldn’t perform as a group later in the year. Covid19 spread across the USA as many tourists returned home, one of the organisers said sadly. “We’re bored and wanna have fun” What a bunch of Muppets. The thing is that they don’t realise it’s all these young ones who are going to be paying back all the money spent through this pandemic through future taxes. Grants, hand outs, bail outs etc and the cost of all the vaccines will have to be paid back for many years to come. These young uns have no thoughts for their future. I find it hard to have any sympathy with her. I’m a carer and I’ve worked throughout this pandemic. I’ve seen the devastating effects covid has had on families as they have lost family members to it. The death toll is enormous and for some of those who survive the on going effects are horrendous. So, no sympathy for this selfish, self centred, stupid group who just want to have fun. Go work in a covid ward and see how much fun that is. BBC.

So she should be. She can make as many excuses in the world. Her house. Her party. It was funny watching them all. The excuses sounded like little kids. I dont think these youngsters have any idea about conciquence of actions. Just plain arrogance some of them. They need to come up with a consequence other than fining people exorbitant amounts of money. Mandatory community service hours maybe. Makes you wonder if the goal is to enforce the rules or profit from the pandemic. Wish they would enforce this here in the US… too many young 20 somethings people don’t feel like they have to listen to anyone about this and are doing what they want to do and it’s getting out of control (clubbing and bars for example) Don’t get me wrong there are older people acting the same way … but come on people…. enough is enough already… we get they don’t care about themselves, I guess it is just too much to ask for them to care about their fellow citizens or family members… sigh. Oh so they were bored and wanted to have fun?!!!!! Hmm, put them out to grass on a covid ward and then they’ll see that ‘being a bit bored’ is beyond pathetic and offensively degrading, firstly to the patients who are struggling or dying and secondly to the tireless and round the clock care and work the doctors and nurses are doing for all our loved ones. Good God what an absolute bunch of snowflakes and insult to Captain Tom. These wet wipes have zero clue what sacrifice actually entails.
