Those dead children deserve justice, however long it takes. This ruins everything they were trying to stand for. One destruction does not mean cause another. The focus changes now to them instead of the actual cause. I hope this doesn’t continue. I get it..change is needed but not like that. These people should be charged. Well that is justice served then. All good. Move on. Let’s not talk about the fact that some first nations towns have no running water and no winter passable roads… all Canadians have known this for years. No protests about that. The sins of the past are so much easier to condemn than our own actions of today. Edit. I didn’t realize this was so recent. My bad. If people are alive today who suffered these atrocities then they deserve to hold to account the people who did this. Thank you to those who pointed this out to me. It’s true that we all learn something new every day. For this to be hidden, when it was happening in our lifetime, is truly horrific. What happened is terrible but how do these people feel about modern day slavery that is happening right now? What are they doing to stop that? It seems everyone is happy to fight for something that happened in the past but they turn their heads away from what is happening right under their noses, NOW. You can’t say you care when you ignore the same things happening now. BBC.
