I wish more people would have a heart these days. I wouldnt wish losing a parent so young on anyone. I am glad they have been so forthright in discussing unresolved childhood trauma. Children are resilient, but they aren’t invincible. People just don’t know how to handle kids loss with knowledge or finesse a lot of the time. And looking at the papers today? Princes blame Bbc for fuelling mums paranoia- you just know if someone else had the finger pointed at them the bbc would be all over it as “press hound mum to death”. Time to bin the tv tax. ‘Private individual’ with burning hatred of media turns to media to share most painful private moments of his life with millions of strangers. Given how often he’s done this since he ‘stepped back’, I do hope he never decides to step forward again. People here are completely missing the point. He is trying to shine a light on mental health and give a voice to those who don’t have one. He is using his public status and personal experience to highlight issues shared by many and looking at the spectacular lack of empathy in these comments, there is clearly a long way to go in supporting child bereavement, anxiety and mental health. I was 9 when my mom was brutally taken away from me, by my horrible step father who murdered her, the pain will always remain regardless, no point in drowning ones sorrows, you still have to live. 2nd time he has criticised his family publicly. I and my younger sisters lost our dad i was 6yrs old our mother had no money and little support. She did 2 jobs and got on with it and so did we. Our experience although dreadfully sad made us all strong and resilient. Very sad though when a child loses a parent. Harry probably had lots of support and counselling throughout his childhood, we had nothing. I lost my Dad at 13. So does that mean I can blame every bad decision I made on the fact he died when I was young?… No because I take responsibility for all the bad decisions I made after the age of 18. Grow up Harry you’re a big boy now! Tbh I’m getting a bit bored of Harry and his tales of woe. He doesn’t want to be in the media spotlight, he wanted a normal life but he is still doing these interviews instead of having his normal life.
